LinkedIn engagement automation: like, comment, endorse and follow before you pitch

Put yourself on a prospect’s radar without asking for anything. React to their latest post with any of LinkedIn’s six reactions, leave a comment that responds to what they actually wrote, endorse their top skills and follow them, spread over days, before your connection request arrives.

Overview

Give before you ask

Social selling works because generosity is memorable. A thoughtful comment on someone’s post, an endorsement for a skill they’re proud of, a follow: none of these ask for anything, and all of them show up in the prospect’s notifications with your name attached.

Doing it by hand for hundreds of prospects is impossible, so most people skip it and go straight to the pitch. ReachPods makes engagement a set of steps in your LinkedIn sequence: React to last post, Comment last post, Endorse skills and Follow profile, each with its own daily limit and random pacing.

Put two or three of them before an invitation, a day or two apart. By the time the connection request arrives, it comes from someone who has already added value, and acceptance rates follow.

Reactions

React to a prospect’s latest LinkedIn post with the right reaction

React to last post finds the prospect’s most recent post and leaves the reaction you chose: like, celebrate, support, love, insightful or funny. “Insightful” on a thoughtful post says far more than a reflexive like.

Reactions have their own daily limit (40 per account by default) and a random gap from the previous action, so they read as genuine interest rather than a burst of automation.

Comments

Auto comment on LinkedIn posts with AI that reads the post first

Comment last post can post your own text, personalised with variables and spintax, or a smart AI comment. The AI is given the post and the comments already on it, and writes one or two sentences that react to something specific, without pitching or repeating what others said.

Set a maximum post age (30 days by default) so you never revive a months-old thread. Comments are capped at 15 per account per day.

  • Manual or AI-written comments
  • Reads the post and existing comments
  • No pitch, no meeting asks
  • Skips posts older than your window

The part about deleting the kickoff call is underrated. Did activation hold up once the call was gone?

Endorsements and follows

Auto endorse LinkedIn skills and follow prospects

Endorse skills endorses the prospect’s top skills, as many as you choose. Follow profile subscribes to their updates, and they get notified. Both are zero-ask touches that people notice and remember.

Endorsements default to 20 per account per day and follows to 30, each with random gaps and working hours.

Warm-up flow

A LinkedIn warm-up sequence that runs itself

A proven pattern: visit the profile and follow on day one, react to the latest post on day two, comment or endorse on day three, then send the invitation with a note. Each touch is a step, each wait is a step, and the whole thing runs every working day without you.

If the prospect replies to your comment, or anywhere else, the sequence stops and the conversation moves to the inbox.

  • Visit → follow → react → comment → invite
  • Wait steps between touches
  • Stops on any reply

FAQ

LinkedIn engagement automation: questions and answers

Something else on your mind? Get started and try it on your own accounts.

Can I automatically like LinkedIn posts?

Yes. The “React to last post” step reacts to the prospect’s most recent post with the reaction you choose, up to 40 per account per day by default.

Are automated comments obvious?

Generic ones are. Smart AI comments read the post and the existing comments and respond to something specific, without pitching, which reads like a real person.

What happens if the prospect has no recent post?

Comment steps only act on posts newer than your maximum age (30 days by default); otherwise the step is skipped and the lead continues.

How many skills are endorsed?

As many as you set on the step, starting from their top skills.

Does engagement really improve acceptance rates?

A connection request from someone who visited, followed and reacted to your post is far more likely to be recognised and accepted than a cold one.
